Park(ing) Day is an annual worldwide event where designers, citizens, and businesses transform metered parking spots into temporary public parks.
Gather at the Broadway Theatre at 6:30pm for a Park(ing) Day kick- off party featuring speakers Ken Greenberg (Internationally-Accliamed City Builder) and Alan Wallace (City of Saskatoon Manager of Planning and Development).
People across Saskatoon will be participating, with activities focused on Broadway and in Riversdale. Choose a metered parking stall and transform it into a public park for one day. Be creative! Make your park simple or elaborate, and reimagine the streets of Saskatoon.
Kickoff the party with a community gathering at the Broadway Theatre, including:
Toronto's Urban Hero! Architect, Urban Designer, Teacher and Author, recipient of the 2010 American Institute of Architects Thomas Jefferson Award for public design excellence and the author of Walking Home: the Life and Lessons of a City Builder.

All day art show and sale. Reception at 7pm. Cash bar 4pm-midnight. Be prepared - we'll have a panel of "experts" driving the show, including Saskatoon's Manager of Planning Alan Wallace, Rawlco Radio's Craig Silliphant and Randy Pshebylo from the Riversdale BID.
